5 Tips To Stay In Control In The Lead Up To Christmas

With 5 weeks to go until Christmas, we all know that December brings Christmas parties, family gatherings, mince pies and festive lattes on late night shopping, another tipple or two whilst wrapping presents, take a sip of the whiskey left for Santa, exercise routines dwindle away and we start to let ourselves go knowing that come January we will get back on the wagon!

Thankful to have your kids at home?!

Thankful to have your kids at home?!

It is hard enough to do the school runs, prep for the next day, go to work, manage shopping trips, feed the dog, feed the family, complete the laundry, fix the car… the list can feel like it is endless. Now that we are in lockdown, home-schooling adds to the mix. The endless “mum…dad….I don’t know what to do…I’m bored….this hurts…I’m thirsty…”…you sure can’t wait to escape for some exercise.

But wait one second, shouldn’t we be thankful that we have our little ones close to us and safe. We have to see this as an opportunity to help, motivate and ultimately inspire the next generation to stay fit and healthy, and teach them the importance of doing so.

Here are a few sneaky workout tips will inspire you to get sweaty no matter what it takes.

New habits have been formed so embrace those changes and build on them.

Current update for classes during the COVID-19 pandemic

Current update for classes during the COVID-19 pandemic

We hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. It has been a long 4 months of lock-down and isolation.

We have been constantly watching and keeping up to date with the COVID-19 pandemic and taking the necessary steps to keeping the family safe and working towards the opening up of Paragon.

In April, Paragon went online to deliver Zumba and HiiT sessions via the virtual platform Zoom. This has been a success helping us keep in contact with many of you and delivering live regular exercise from the Paragon studio to you in your home. It's not been ideal with distraction of working out in your living room or the added frustration of live technology and sound! However, with your support and commitment we have maintained some normality in your fitness regime.

Make this year 2020 stand out

A new year is a new beginning. It is like a new birth.

As the new year approaches, we feel that we need to make changes in our life, start on a new path, do new things, and say goodbye to old habits, problems and difficulties. Often, we start making new plans and new resolutions. We might feel elated, inspired and hopeful, but sometimes also apprehensive.

The question is whether we will continue and persevere or quit our plans and resolutions. Will we revert to our habitual behaviour and continue living the same kind of life, without making any changes or improvements?

How To Look At Your Workouts Positively

How To Look At Your Workouts Positively

Ideally, we can choose to always do what we love without ever needing to think about the things we don’t like. That, unfortunately, is not the case in real world. There are times when we need to do something we don’t like. Such as those dreaded burpees or that 6am 5km run on a cold winters morning in preparation for that race you signed up for with a mate, or cut out the cake you keep having mid-morning because you know it will help you lose weight by decreasing your calorie intake.
